Why I write

I write because its a way to express my feelings a creativity. I enjoy writing the most when I have no limitations to what and how much I write. Letting my mind run wild as I write about anything and everything is a way to keep me relaxed. Creative writing is my favorite to write mainly because I enjoy the creativity I can put into it. There is no right or wrong to it, its something I can call my own.

The green suitcase

Shifting her glance to the side of the chair she noticed a small green suitcase. Continuing to ignore the presence of the unusual item she continued her studies.
“Hey!” said a small voice beside her.
Trying not to get in trouble by the teacher, she acted like she didn’t hear anything, but yet her imagination began to run wild. Who could be trying to get my attention she thought? Could it be the cute upper classman, Peter Jones, who happened to be sitting directly behind her and whom she’s had a crush on since first grade? Or could it just be her own imagination, after all she always felt like she was going a little crazy.
“Down here! I know you can here me,” whispered the small object.
Turning around to smile at her one true love, Molly realized that it wasn’t Peter trying to get her attention, considering the fact that he gave her the biggest stink eye of all.
“No, look down,” cried the suitcase.
As she turned around in embarrassment she looked down on the floor. Lo and behold, there laying right beside her chair was a small suitcase with a small diamond on the front.
As she admired this strange and most definitely random suitcase, she began to slowly pick it up.
“Ouch!” said the suitcase. “ Easy, I’m not getting any younger you know, next time be careful will ya?”
“Oh, I’m so very sorry,” cried Molly.
“It’s fine,” he told her.
Molly had so many questions building up in her mind she didn’t know where to begin, but before she even had a chance to ask, the suitcase was already talking to her.
“Okay, listen up, kid! I need you to be very careful with me. I’m probably the most valuable thing you will ever hold in your hands in your life time,” said the suitcase.
“What do you want with me?“ asked Molly.
“I needed someone who was smart, clever, charming and mostly because this was all the further my short legs would carry me.” he said.
“Okay? I’m listening,” she said.
“Okay, inside of me there is a ticking time bomb. What I want you to do is to decide if you’re going to save everybody including yourself, just save yourself, or let everybody die? It’s up to you. You have 10 minutes to decide,” said the suitcase.
As Molly sat in her chair with a nervous edge in the pit of her stomach, she began to draw out her options. Should she save everybody else or should she just keep her mouth shut? After all, everybody knew Molly was the weird one in her school. Molly could hear her heart pounding in her ears. Only three minutes to go.
“Um, Mr.Vogts, may I use the bathroom?” she asked.
“Make it quick!” he retorted.
Molly slowly get up from her chair, takes one last nervous look at her class and heads for the door. Pacing down the hallway she stops at her locker and grabs her bag. Taking a wrong turn to the bathroom, Molly walks out the door leaving all of her friends and teachers to die. Molly walks down the sidewalk with a sly grin appearing upon her face. As the school behind her begins to blow to pieces, realizing her plan of mass destruction has been completed.

9/11

On that particular day I don't really remember anything. I wish I could have been there to see it all happening. I really wish that I could have helped in some way that day. I will remember the ones that have fallen.
